- This website is owned and operated by Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC). At VASCSC, your privacy is our priority. We treat all information about any financial transaction as highly confidential. In addition, we do not share any personal and financial information including email addresses, phone numbers, or card details of any of our donors or organizations with anyone.
- We make sure your personal information is held safely, as per the Data Protection Act and is encrypted and transmitted without risk using a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.
Terms and Conditions
We deeply value all contributions towards the sustenance of our mission and objectives. To protect the privacy of our donors, we have the following policies:
- We may request personal information online, such as name, address, phone number, email address, and debit/credit card number ONLY to accept donations to the Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre.
- We will not release, publish, or use this information for any other purpose unless we have your consent.
- We do not trade or sell your personal information to other organizations.
- Donors may request, at any time, to not receive our solicitations.
- We do not track, collect, or distribute personal information entered by those who visit our website.
- Personal data collected through our website is encrypted using 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) technology.
- Personal information stored in VASCSC’s database is protected with a secured login with authentication, assignment of a unique ID to each person with computer access, regular passcode changes, and user IDs are deactivated or terminated as needed.
- Our hosting data server provides data protection meeting PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), encrypted communication via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology, intrusion detection for all devices and network nodes, state-of-the-art firewall infrastructure that detects malicious application attacks, virus protection, network load balancing devices via Citrix, and patch management, security and vulnerability monitoring and tracking, and SQL server attack protection via applications to detect SQL Injection and Cross Site Scripting Attacks.
We assure the following to our donors:
- Donations contributed will be used for the sole purpose of ensuring/providing quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education to children and science popularization.
- To receive a receipt of the donation, and appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.
- The information about their donations is handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
- To expect that all relationships with individuals representing VASCSC to the donor will be professional.
