VASCSC team visits selected schools, facilitating sessions that incorporate innovative hands-on activities focusing on STEM and emerging technologies, including science shows, practical demonstrations, technology sessions, the science behind illusions, curriculum-related experiments, and interactive quizzes. VASCSC provides comprehensive Teaching Learning Material (TLM) and resource support to set up STEM Labs / Science Activity Centres. Our carefully curated centres boast a wide range of TLMs, including models, teaching aids, interactive exhibits of various sizes, experiment kits, demonstrations, and cutting-edge equipment. This initiative is being actively conducted in schools and educational institutions statewide as well as in numerous other states upon request.

VASCSC has been instrumental in establishing Mathematics Labs, providing students with an opportunity to explore new concepts, foster innovation, and cultivate a deep-seated passion for mathematics education. These dedicated spaces at the school level serve as a catalyst for hands-on, experiential learning, enabling students to grasp challenging mathematical concepts and their practical applications. By creating an engaging and interactive environment, the Mathematics Labs serve as a gateway to ignite a child's enthusiasm for learning, encouraging them to independently explore the realm of mathematics.

This programme provides a platform to learn the basics of space science related to Model Rocketry, Astronomy, Aeronautics and Satellites. Since 2018-19, VASCSC has been instrumental in setting up over 90 Space Education Clubs in 50 different schools in Gujarat. Some of the key activities of the space clubs include sport-flying launches, various types of contests, research and development projects and workshops, aerospace films, guest speakers, educational activities, special presentations, demonstrations and exhibits. VASCSC resource persons provided the necessary handholding, technical support, some basic resource material and orientation to all these.

Resource material containing a set of relevant space science publications, model rocket launcher, inclinometer, pen drive having e-library is given to each school. A special planner is designed and given to each member to plan the activities.

Model Rocketry and Astronomy independent workshops are also offered by VASCSC on request.

This programme has been designed for schools and student groups visiting the Centre. VASCSC’s facilities and resources encompass labs, seminar halls, library, TLM development workshop and a science shop. Additionally, the exhibitory quadrangle at the centre houses interactive exhibits, models, TLMs and other published material. Thus, the infrastructure of the centre attracts education fraternity and students of different age groups. Keeping in mind the varying needs of these groups visiting the Centre, various activities have been designed to serve the purpose. The Centre's team of facilitators take them through different departments and conducts interactive/hands-on sessions of 2-3 hours (upon request) for STEM education, Science shows, Science movie shows, etc. These sessions are customizable to suit the requirements, interests, and age groups of the participants.

Vigyan Drashti is a Gujarati bimonthly science wall magazine. It is published in a four-colour, 8-page newspaper format. It contains articles, activities, experiments, the latest information, puzzles, amazing facts, crosswords, science toons, etc. It serves as an effective science learning resource in Gujarati and a large number of schools and individuals subscribe to it at a minimal subscription cost. Six volumes are brought out every year and delivered to your doorstep upon subscription.

STEM Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) development is a major activity of VASCSC. The TLMs are developed with the objective of making teaching learning process easy, intriguing, and long lasting, for both, teachers and students. These TLMs are suitable for primary and secondary school level education, for classroom and individual use. The TLMs consist of teaching aids, DIY kits, Exhibitory models, puzzles, publications, books, charts, and many more educational resources. These are designed and developed by the VASCSC subject experts after thorough research. Activity manuals are also available with respective TLMs in three languages, i.e. English, Gujarati and Hindi.
